About Megan

I grew up in Michigan and developed a passion for understanding communities and populations early on. After earning my undergraduate degree from the University of Miami (FL), I pursued graduate studies at Florida State University, where I focused on Applied Demography. I completed my internship in Portland, OR, before moving to Minnesota in 2012, where I began my career in public service. Since then, my work has centered on using data and demographic insights to shape policies that improve the lives of Minnesotans.

Outside of my professional commitments, I find joy in simple pleasures like spending time in my backyard with my family or exploring nature on bike rides with our dog, Teddy. I like discovering and identifying different types of bugs and mushrooms, which connects me to the natural world around us. These quiet moments help me recharge and stay connected to the environment that I love.

I believe in the power of community and appreciate the small moments that make living in St. Paul so special, from the warmth of neighbors to the shared pride in our city’s spirit. My family keeps me grounded and reminds me why advocating for a better future matters. Their support drives my commitment to making a difference, not just in my work with MAPE but in everything I do.
